The AFBL209 is novel electronic ballast control functions without inductor and high capacitance capacitor.
The IC includes preheating level detecting and driver, internal PWM for discharging and discharge detecting,
as well as discharging driver. The heart of this IC is a preheating, discharging start, detecting discharging, |
|
|
and discharging with internal PWM. All of the necessary features are integrated in a small 16 pin SOP package.
The AFBL209 provides novel operation principle without inductor and high-performance electronic ballast
control functions. Optimized for an electronic ballast, the AFBL209 requires a minimum board area and
reduces component counts. The AFBL209 is intended to drive two power driver transistors of heating and
discharging as compared with conventional ballast controller.
The AFBL209 has many comprehensive protection features that work through filament failure, failure of a
lamp to strike and automatic restarts. A dedicated trimming section in the AFBL209 allows the user to set
the necessary parameters to preheat, ignite and run the lamp properly. |
